As a world-renowned center for research and education in the sciences and engineering, Caltech hosts visiting professors and researchers from all over the world. People come to lecture, to consult, to demonstrate techniques, to engage in postdoctoral training, to conduct research, or to share ideas and discuss common interests with their scientific partners. International Scholar Services provides the technical visa services required in connection with coming to the United States for these purposes. In addition we make available information on services that visiting scholars and their families may need in order to adapt to life in a new language or culture.
